alright guys, its time to finish up the exhaust, now that i have my doors shaved and my kit on and painted...I am going to do a 2.5 piping and I want to do a super 40. I love the deep growl of the super 40 but what will sound more like a mean beast, and not a rice fart can

ive heard several sound clips - never a real one though. but i think i like the flowmaster 80 most.
(oke my real fav is the "flowmaster super 40 deltaflow" but it soundz way TOO loud.)
so i voted for the 80series.

magnaflow sounds good...but if you're looking for constant sound, go with the 80 series. My new 80 is much deeper and louder than my magnaflow ever was.

I had flowmaster 80 series....took it off and added SLP and dyno'd 8whp gain just over the Flowmaster setup.........I'd say go SLP over both flowmaster AND magnaflow

in my little experience with exhaust and big offroading trucks.. i say the Flowmasters always sounded much nicer than the magnaflow ones. Which flowmaster? i dunno, ur choice.
but that was really big trucks with really big v8s and stuff.. chevys and fords and a few dodges.

FYI, flowmaster is all about the sound, they dont flow worth crap. magnaflow is a much better flowing muffler. just dont get the magnaflow i had...lol they make one like the borla, that has the in and out on the same side, that is perfect if you want to keep the twin tip exhaust, and pick up a little hp. no need to change out the stock piping on a near stock car either.

The 40 is good if you just wanna do a single exit, the 80 to good for duals.
I had the 80 before the slp and I loved it, really sounds good.
Magaflow is a part of Flowmaster, I believe

I'd go with Magnaflow. I've ran Magnaflow on several vehicles, and their mufflers sound really good.
I think the 40 series flowmaster would drone a lot. I know on my Cutlass they do!

I have a magnaflow on 2 1/2" from the manifold back and it's LOUD. I dont mind the sound of it at all. I haven't heard anything else to compare it to tho.

Nice ride dude! I've always loved them cars, and a 3400 in that car's prolly pretty sweet.
