If you mean the gray plastic thyng that plugs into the board.. no, they're not soldered. The wires that are part of the bulb get melted onto the contacts in the "condom." You just have to either yank the bulb out or you can take a pin like I did and break the wires off the contacts.

It's the same thing.. but yeah, lol, it would be just as easy to just replace them.
Well, they look like they function the same way. the wires look like they should be able to be seen on the back of the "condom".. just pick them loose and yank the bulb out.

you have the bulbs & condoms out right? look at the back of the condom.. you can see the metal pieces that the wires from the bulbs make contact with? just take a pin and run it between the wire & the metal piece on the condom.

they twist and pull out but if you get the replacements from http://www.superbrightleds.com they have the new "condom" already on them no need to try to pull out the old ones to put in the led ones .. they also have ur festoon bulb there the one in back of the dome but just twist the blue part on the bulb it will slide out of the dome.. its the same type they use in the instrument cluster lights .. just twist them they should come right out

trust me its the same thing they have been using these bulbs in cars and trucks for almost 20 years my 85 vw cabriolet has the same ones my 91 gmc truck and my 2002 alreo has in them and i've seen 79 and 80 gmc trucks with them at the salvage yards they are all interchangeable if you need to go check with the dealer but 2 bulbs from then would cost you almost 10 bucks and not be leds... the twist and lock part are all the same size they are just changing the number/intensity of the bulb
