I have been looking around the net for S/C for the 3400 SFI. Andys auto sells one for the grand am 3400 sfi engine. Think its just under 5000.00 for everything. So my question is well it work in our aleros? How much would I have to change to get it under my hood and is there any better ones that well add more HP. What mods do I have to do to my engine before I can install it? Buying this prob by Xmas so the more help the better.

I would personally get the RSM Racing Supercharger, Adds 90 hp and is less than 5000 bones. The only problem is you have to drive the car to them in Canada to have it installed by them otherwise they wont sell it but there price inlcudes a Room in a hotel while they install it so it is a pretty good deal.

it doesn't state in thier ad that they have to install it? i'm buying a S/C from them next year, but i live in South Texas, and it wouldn't be cost effective for me to have to drive to them for install and be given a freee hotel room?

Rsm also has a shop in illinois, but i am not sure if they install there but I know they got a shop in the us. You do have to let them install it becuase they will not ship the kit and I would guess that the andy's and the rsm are the exact same kit.

I well be going to Canada in Jan to see some friends in the Hamilton area so this might be a good idea. How long does it take them to install one and is that under 5000.00 installed? Anyone got any pics of theirs installed so I can see what it looks like?

Rsm is got thers for 3900 right now but that might be the candian price because last I knew it was 4700. Ok, what it is, is 4700 for the canadian kit and 3900 for the us kit but that sounds backwards to me .

The andys is the rsm and Andy's is just the middle man for rsm and another reason why the price is so high.

^^^^No it's a Vortech centrifigal supercharger.
Here's another pic that show the shaft that drives it.
In a Kindergaten cop-like voice "It's not a turbo"

Yeah A Super Charger if it was a turbo it would be on the back of the motor just before the CAT. The supercharger is run off the belt using a small drive shaft from the belts to the supercharger.
