Hey Everyone
I've been using the forums a lot, but never actually posted..so I thought I'd finally introduce myself. My name is Trevor and I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero GL 3.4L. I love my Alero...even with the ABS, SVS and Trac of lights lol. I would post pics of the exterior but she's not in that good of condition at the moment. The main reason I thought I'd introduce myself is because this site has helped me a lot and I thought that everyone should know that. I just cleared the gauge cluster and added some LEDs to illuminate it. Obviously I wasn't the first to use white LED bulbs so I thought I'd try something different. I used transparent vinyl to color code some of the gauges. Tell me what you guys think.
--My Mods Are: generic ebay CAI, Clear corners, cleared gauge cluster, rockford fosgate punch subwoofer and amp, panasonic aftermarket deck

Welcome to the site man. I also will say I like what you have done with the dash. Looks good imo. Definitely need more pics though and as for the site yea it is rather full of information about this car.

I'm diggin the gauge panel, with the color coding and all that.
As far as your Trac Off and ABS lights....most likely culprit are your wheel bearing hub sensor thingies, since that sensor affects both items.

Thanks for the compliment, as for the ABS.. Yeah thats what I'm thinking as well. I know its a common problem for our cars. My dad already replaced both of them and it was fine for a while, but then after I got the car, if I went over a little bump all the lights would go on. Now it's just on all the time. Oh well, on a college student's budget, it's not top priority lol.

I was actually thinking about changing it from red to blue. I think the blue would look better.

I sanded off the purple stuff on the back of the gauges(though I don't know if it made that much of a difference) and then I used a red transparent vinyl with an adhesive to make it red. When I'm driving in the day it's a bit dull but in the night its fine.

What do I think? I think you need to service your engine soon. I like the dash. Very neat! I need to fix mine... it's having light issues...

The blue needles were easy to do because I used vinyl. Its a quicker alernative to drilling holes and putting leds in but its not as bright and you can't switch between colors.

I think i'm going to be the first to say i'm not digging the gauges. too many different colors to look at... just doesn't flow. But to each their own, if you like it... don't let my opinion sway you.
welcome aboard. any other car pics?

To be honest I thought it would look a bit fruity but after I was finished I thought it looked cool. Thanks for the input. Here's some pics off my blackberry.. Just to let you know, the bra is just there to cover up some battle scars lol.
