i have a 2001 gls sedan (3.4) and my fuel pump just went. its gonna be a grand for a new one installed.. is there a way to just take out the old one and put an electronic racing one for drag cars one some wear under the hood.?

if not is a fuel pump hard to replacE???????/

the pump is not hard to do, but give your self plenty of time and get new tank straps and bolts, i know in michigan they break no matter how new the car is (rust is gay)
