welp, pretty much finished modding my engine and figured it was time to see what i have accomplished. over 2 years ago i did a stock dyno that wielded 144hp and 162ft-lbs of torque. tonight i dynoed at 159.8hp and 173.88ft-lbs of torque. i guess i had set my hopes too high for what i have done, i dunno. my mods are as follows:
-2.25" cat back exhaust w/ 40 series flowmaster (when i pulled it on to the rack the guy asked if it was super charged lmao)
-Dr Speed WAI
-DHP PCM
-ported and polished manifolds w/ match ported TB
-8.5mm MSD superconductor wires
-180* t-stat
*note: run conditions were 50*F with 56% humidity. also i had my 18" chrome rims on, not sure if that makes the least bit of difference though. they put a fan in front of the nose of the car, blowing on the radiator and i dont think too much of that air hit the intake. i will try to scan these sheets and get em posted.

ouch man.....that's like a 16hp and 12 ft/lbs gain.....not alot of bang for the buck. Same dyno, or different?
Also, consider if there's been any compression loss due to ring wear since then?

and your not running headers, i pulled 150 hp at the wheels on my first run, at much warmer tempertures with almost same mods, bigger exhust and cai no ported manifolds, ported manifolds are next. once i get them on i'll have to to san antonio for a dyno run.

One word: HEADERS
They will make all your other mods come together. Although I didn't have DHP at the time, with CAI, Borla and Headers, I dynoed 170WHP.
I would like to see what the DHP added, but I don't really have the $100 to throw at a dyno right now just to see what DHP added to me

yep, same dyno, same shop, same tech.
the cool thing was the car got up to about 140mph :hide:
oh and the tech suggested i send my dyno results and my pcm back to dhp and have them reflash it cause im running about a point rich.

Your #'s look about the way they should for the mods you have. Dont be dissapointed, you did pretty good for having almost no performance mods.

hey you know coupe is right, i mean you have a good start, but considering theres no supercharger, turbocharger, nitrous whatever thats not bad. theres only so much you can do without spending serious amounts of money. so yeah, dont get too down

I wouldnt bother sending the PCM back to DHP. Waste of time if you ask me. And if you do any other intake or exhaust mods, it could lean it out some, and then you would be right where you want.

add a CAI instead of a WAI, headers and a 2.5" exhaust with a high flow cat and a muffler thats straight thru (like magnaflow or vibrant) instead of chambered like the flowmaster and head to the dyno again. you'll be a little happier with your numbers then.

dont let horsepower get you down............my dyno WITH all my mod that I had (headers, slp, dhp, b&m, dr.speed, pro-m........TONS) was only about 175 and I ran a mid 14 second 1/4mile......who give a f* about horsepower numbers...it's the track numbers that count
