3x ignition wire

After all my issues with the car stumbling, and now it's stalling out I looked into something else:

the purple/white wire coming off my ICM was cut back in the day to install a remote start. Ended up taking the car back to the dealership (alarm was aftermarket) and they couldn't find the problem and the car stalled out on them back in 2000.

Last night, I took the car to work and it stalled out on the way home and almost didnt start back up. Got it started and it was missing at random the rest of the way home.

"Repaired" one of the old splices with heat shrink today before work, now the car has a hard time starting and when it runs, tap the gas and it stalls. Thinking I burnt up the wire too much with the shrink, so tomorrow (if I have time and it's not raining) I'm going to cut the burnt part out, put a 22-18 butt in there, and give it a go. The other splice is up at the ICM and there is a butt in there. Looks good, but if it's not, it's really tight to the plug, not much wire left.

Things I've replaced:

crank sensor (wire was bared down anyway)
7x cam sensor (threw a code)
24x cam sensor (fell apart when removed)
plugs (2 were cracked)
fuel filter (4-5 year old)
coils replace about 60K ago, problem was minor back then, still have the problem after
ICM replaced around the same time, same result
Plug wires replaced last year, less than 10K ago
stock tune program reinstalled, same issue, back to modded tune now.

The 3x wire is all that is left that I know is damaged. really sucks that the Alero is blocking the Delta in the driveway right now

Never brings up a SES light, now it doesn't run long enough for it to.

Not exactly sure how the fuel trims are, but the engine speed was correct last time I had the laptop hooked up to the car (last week) That's when I was playing with the tune, which is did the same exact thing with a stock tune

that 3x ignition wire is it's own thing, runs from the crank sensor to the ignition module and isn't integrated into any other wiring or harness. Any one from a 3100 or 3400 should work.
