I bought an already assembled mpguino and have it installed in my 95 geo metro. It works great. I have mine wired in right at the ECM. It makes for a lot neater installation if you have one cable with all 4 inputs that you need coming from nearly the same place instead of 4 seperate wires running all over the place. There are other products that you can buy that plug directly into the connector that you use when reading codes, the OBDII connector. Scan Gauge is one I read a lot about. These will tell you lots more than just the mileage.

specifically:

If you can get the specifics for programming that, for our cars... I'd build one for myself.

I needed to hook into the VSS for my GPS radio upgrade. I think it's green with a white stripe and you can hook into it right at the PCM.

Don't quote me on the wire thou. I do not have my books or wiring diagrams right now.

You could hook into the wire at the cruise control mod also, but I WOULD NOT tap into it at the wheel hub
