My friend got this 99 Civic Si right, and that cars got 160+ Hp pushing only like 2700 lbs ( if anybody knows what it weighs for sure lemme know). The only thing hes got is 2 3/4 in piping from the headers back. Here I am with a stock 99 Alero Sedan 3400 with only an SLP catback, and we were neck and neck...
BOTH TIMES WE RAN! So I don't think it was a fluke on his part. Not sure, but I don't think so. It was one of those runs where both cars were changing lead constantly. First he'd be ahead then I was ahead, ya' know, back and forth. But we were always within a 1/4 cars length of each other. Eventually he would of beaten me though, not only just because his cars faster but because I never bothered to take off my speed limiter. So yeah, I don't know, I thought it was cool.
Take that power to weight ratio

He said eventually the governor would've caused him problems. No reason to believe it wasn't at the track...and even if it's not...oh well.

^^ True that. All my mods, and 14.53 @ 91.94.
I was going to say, let's see slips, but I guess they don't exist.
Civic SI with those mods, I'd say probably mid to low 14's, it's a high 14 second out of the box

Was the civic a manual? Maybe he just doesn't know how to drive his car

No guys...
this was not at the track. I'm just not trying to promote street racing or whatever (I had to tell you guys the story though). There's no way i'd be pullin 100+mph quarter miles with a stock Alero. And yes, the Civic was a stick shift...

I dont think we should shun racing stories, but I think people should get kicked for talking about civic's running even with or beating an Alero, hahaha
