I had an auto trans interceptor on my car but I have taken it off because there was some weird stuff going on. First off, with the interceptor set at about 50%, my car's rpm would move up and down about 100 rpm when I was cruising at about 50 mph. Second off, with the interceptor set lower and when I removed the interceptor, I would have problems with my first to second gear shift. It seemed like the tranny was slipping on the shift. I am quite sure it was slipping, but why. It doesn't do this in any other gear. Any suggestions on what could be the problem. I think it is something electrical, but if you have any other ideas, let me know.

I have the same tranny "slipping" problem. But mine is only when accelerating hard from a stop, not on the 1-2 shift.. it comes and goes, quite randomly... I've just ignored it for now, but the autotrans interceptor is supposed to fix that, and nobody else has every complained about engine stuttering with it installed, so maybe your connections werent good or something?

It could have been bad connections, who knows. With the interceptor installed, and turned up over 50%, it shifts fine, but then I get the stuttering. It's a lose, lose situation.

Hey, I know i might get flamed on for this, but when you put the autotrans interceptor on, you are effecting, some extremely complex algo's that run the tranns. That device changes the outputs of hte trans, thus the algo's are getting the desired reactions, based on the feed back from the trans, so it reacts to this, and yet again, the interceptor messes with the outputs, creating a situation, that wasn't desired. That 100 rpm surge at 50 mph is your Torque converter clutch slipping and then grabbing. What ever that interceptor is doing, it is not letting the controller regulate the 20 rpm slip on the TCC. This 20 rpm slip is only there below 62mph when the TCC is on.

freeze12 is an unknown quantity at this point
Try disconnecting Your cars battery for a couple of hours so that the Transmission resets itself to a new driver (being You) Like when You buy the car new & it has to learn Your driving habits.
