You can save yourself some loot by doing it yourself..its not hard...i change mie at the hobby shop on base....one of my better installs i might add

Most of that stuff you can do yourself. They probably charge 15-20 bucks for a amber bulb that costs 1.97 at wal-mart.

The $500 check STILL HASN'T COME IN. WTF. I need this money lol. I have enough money to get the front bumper and fender painted/installed though (fender comes in monday and then they'll fit both when the AAS front comes in, then paint em) but I'd like the extra $500 sometime soon..

im a little worried cause i THINK my car might be leaking power steering fluid.... but that WONT stop me from coming to this. I will just have to buy a small bottle of power steering fluid and keep an eye on the level. Its not leaking fast, i should be fine cause i will be on the highway almost the whole time anyways. I really hope the people at the canadian border dont search my car....that would be HIGHLY annoying. lol

they absolutely can. they can dismantle anything that is inside the car, then just leave it that way for you to reassemble (w/o tools, unless you have them) just don't be a dick, or seem suspicious and you'll be fine. i've been back and forth a dozen or so times w/o much hassel. (except for the grilling i got coming back from lansing, but to be honest, it sounds suspicious that your going home after meeting a bunch of people, from the internet, at an olds car show. :lol: )

do: bring drivers lisc and copy of birth certificate
don't: tell them your a VIP and you don't need them

do: answer is clear concise manner
don't: have a glowing biohazard sign in the middle of your dash

do: be honest about going to a car show and your taking a shortcut, instead of going through ohio, since gas is redonkulous
don't: pull up swearing, blasting music, wreaking of pot, and being a douche.

^^ This is funny you said that, considering every post about the prices of gas have shown that the price of gas in Canada is $1.00++ per gallon more than what it is down there... It might be cheaper to take the long route unless you can fill up before crossing the border into Canada, and make it through, then fill up when you cross back over...

Power outage at the paint shop from the storms, they just got power back. So my bumper & fender are not painted, only prepped. Nice of them to tell me this NOW since the power outage occurred like Monday. (I know a local guy who could've painted it in one day) They say the earliest they could do is like early Saturday have it ready to go on. If so, they'll call me and I'll drive from Lansing to Auburn Hills and get it all installed then drive back for the Homecoming show (if it's still going on by the time I get back) and whatever else. SHITTY.

And it's unlikely they'll get it done early Saturday. So I get to go to both shows with the car looking like a complete pile of shit. I am so pissed. Fucking girl drivers. This happened on 5/10. I just got the mini-tort check 2 days ago. I thought I ordered the bumper in time. Piece of shit.

BigDaddyd stopped by tonight and will be back on Friday.

Craxy Taxi and RowdyGLS will be crawling in around 2am. Crazy(Greg) hit a pothole, blew the tire and bent the wheel. Rowdy(Randy) had Supercharger issues and sheared off a couple of header bolts. They had the motor pulled and replaced at a shop in like 3-4 hours.

The rest will be in on Friday.

They can explain in more detail later on.

i just got back home (well like 2 hrs ago)

my catalytic converter died on the way to the show, was over boosting, exhaust pressure was backing up like crazy. wanted to boost instantly.

i went to pass someone and the boost SPIKED extremely quickly, i saw 15 PSI and i let off ASAP. i freaked out. car ran like shit. replaced the spark plugs a while after i got to ASS, didn't fix it. decided the symptoms seemed like the cat (smelled like rotten eggs/raw fuel for quite a while now), went to a few auto places that wanted $200-500 for one installed, so Cliff and I went to autozone and got one for like $68 and had it welded up for $60, and it solved all my problems.

when the old cat was cut off like four chunks of stuff fell out of it lol, it was definitely bad.. got a 2.5" in/out universal kitty for the future exhaust upgrade
