For you folks in the new england area...
Or even those of you who wouldn't mind a drive..
I just had a thought...when I was living in ct, me and my father used to sometimes go to limerock park..I was just on their website, and if we had a club together, we could see some track time...
I was thinking some of you probably wouldn't mind taking your ho to the track..an no this is not a drag strip..its a 1.53 mile road course with a nice long straight into a nice hair pin turn, and its got some good twisty corners, and its kinda in the mountains
but if any of you are interested..not sure what the min. amt of people is...we could possibly start setting things up....
and yes this won't be a plan until after ASS
For more track info... www.limerock.com

New England people are few and far between. Looks cool on Google Maps. If I lived a lot closer, you could have counted me in, but I know I'm not driving 3 hours to drive around in a circle for a couple of laps.

If we have a Lime Rock Meet, I'm in, I love that place.
Keep us all posted, but unless pigs begin to fly, I'll prolly be able to make it.

Looks like it would be a nice place... Too bad I'm a little far away. If I had the time and money, I'd be in.

Ok, so its been nearly a week since i shot them an email.....and I'm yet to hear anything...doubt if I ever will...
It would be f'n sweet to see some track time, but its doubtful...
If you guys still want to try a meet or something at the track (even just gathering to watch a race)...or (dreaming) a private track session..I'm game..
Though..there is this "generic" car "club" that goes they're twice a year...maybe we could join them?? their next meet is in sept. they're in the car club list at the limerock website..I can't remember which one they are, I think they're the only non-marque specific club
If those of you who are interested..maybe could also contact the track..maybe that second or third voice could help...
I'm gonna try emailing them again, but i think we need to have an official club, though I don't know how we'd pull that off...any ideas?

You'd be well-advised to look for driving schools holding events to get some track time. TrackTime is one, SpeedTrialUSA is another....look around and see if anyone is having a HPDE (that's High Performance Driving Education) event at Lime Rock. I hear it's a fun track.
Road courses are expensive to rent out, so don't be surprised to see a fee of $200 and up. Helmets are usually required, and I'd also recommend changing your brake pads for a more aggressive compound.

ok these guys... www.pdadrivingschool.com are going to be at limerock nov. 1, not September like I thought. Their membership fee (if i'm reading right) is $44/year. That doesn't include licensing or anything I don't think
these guys.. http://www.emraracing.org/EmraRegi.htm are at limerock on oct. 25. They're having a time trial and the fee(s) depending on when you purchase is between 245 (online) and 270 if you mail in the app or buy at the track. and with this, you'd have to get a race license from what i understand, but it shouldn't be no more than 320 but thats just for one day..
I donno what do you guys think?

If it's in October or November, you can almost absolutely count me in.
