B&M Shift Kit
sorry AbheLLraZor i tried searching, got mixed results and just confused
if asking for any member using this product on an automatic ecotec to post your results and opinions
and what does this mean the B&M tricks the computer, it isnt one of those nightmare resistor products is it?
Im concerned about what harder shifts means and does this help or hurt gas mileage

if you don't go to the racetrack with your car, don't even bother. These are a performance mod which helps knock off anywhere from .001 to .100 off a quarter-mile drag time on an automatic transmission.

i have one. install was ok. i highly recommend soldering it in if you get it. the result were fun i guess but like albino said its good for racing and knocking maybe a hundredth of a sec of. do it if you wanna feel a stronger shift. I am also pretty sure it would be good if your tranny ever starts to slip.

No it won't hurt your mileage, it just ups the shift pressures in the tranny. And yes, by that i mean a physically firmer shirt, like chrip tires into 2nd firm on the higher settings.
but for a dd, thats all its gonna be its a firmer feel. you won't see any gain unless you consistantly like to race up to speed on on ramp and at lights. it doesn't mess with the ecu at all so there is no pwer gain.

ok this thing is a resistor set up though right, it makes perform better right, it does fool the motor into thinking it needs to work harder and keep it constant

no it doesn't fool the motor one tiny little bit. it just makes your tranny shift faster and firmer, that has absolutely no effect on the engine. it doesn't make it work harder cause it only affects the SHIFT pressures in the tranny computer. thats all. your motor doesn't even notice anything. the only thing it makes better "performance" wise (if you could call it that) if quiker gear changes, hence the slightly faster drag times.
if you are taking it to the strip a lot, yea great thing to have. if you are building more power, also nice to have. for just an air lintake in a daily driver, you will be disappointed you spent the money just to get a harsh jerk b/t gears.
btw,the above sounds kinda like i'm yelling, but i'm not. its just how i explain stuff when i'm tired.

there is a switch on it, so it's not turned on all the time, but I wouldn't suggest getting it unless you race often. (off-stage 1-stage 2)

deffinatly helps performance.Gas millage im going to guess not so much.Honestly there really are not that many gas millage mods that will really make a difference. There is a couple, but you driving style will help the most

i know theres no magic part to increase gas mileage, but somthing that adds a little or doesnt affect it, makes it more appealing to me, and im able to justify spending the money in my mind easier
plus itd be amazing if i ended up with an alero that averaged 37 or so highway, with out being gutted and chopped up to remove weight

I'm using it on an automatic w/ ecotec. I recommend, but if you drive like a granny (lol mileage?) don't bother. Much faster shifting, and keeps your RPMs up so if you're hard on the throttle you don't get jerked forward during a gear shift due to negative G force. If you're worried about how much you spend on gas don't get it, because it pushes back the shift point, to a higher RPM, which means more gas burned.
PS. You know mileage and the name AleroRacing don't really jive.

when i first got my liscense i raced everywhere mad alotta troopers mad, they breathed down my neck everychance they got, only pinned ticket was a following too close though, but that was teh gayest possible he coulda wrote, points wise
