I honestly don't know if i should be asking this.....
Im trying to hunt down the Eaton Supercharger kit for the 3400 series block.. i was thinkin well.. what would make the OSV kit perfect.... well how about a supercharged engine to give it the definate power to match its beauty.
Anybody got any ideas where i can get the Eaton Supercharger kit ?

well.. any idea of any other kits where its just a bolt on.. i honestly don't wanna do a tear down on my block... i'd rather not.. the motor was torn down recently when i bought it to get the heads done... and i just don't wanna tear it down again since the motor is running perfectly

There are no bolt on turbocharger or supercharger kits readily available for the 3400. You don't have to tear the engine down to boost it. Get a turbo manifold fabricated and boost it. Or spray a 75 shot of some wet nitrous.

well... with me.. i'd rather go supercharger rather than turbo...the constant flow of power over boost then lag then boost once again

no tellin... I wonder if EATON would be willing to perhaps rebuild (bring back) the supercharger they made so little of.. now that there are people who actually want it?

this is quoted by 01GAGT
THE BAD
1. Bearing Failure
2. Cheap Machine Keys = sloppy tolerences
3. PCM is the stock program with a few things turned off in it (not properly tuned)
4. Kit removes the MAF sensor which, is almost a necessity to properly tuning the engine.
THE GOOD
The good news is that everything can be fixed fairly inexpensively.
1. The bearing that RSM / Z-spec uses was a rubber shielded bearing that will not last, a replacement metal shielded bearing Part #1630ZZ should provide a much more reliable supercharger.
2. Machine Keys made of a stronger metal can be purchased for less than $10 for a pack of 20.
3. To properly tune the PCM, it is recommeded that you purchase a DHP powrtuner or a HPtuners tuning package.
4. You can reinstall the MAF
Again I will admit RSM / Z-Spec overlooked several details, however I believe that once these items are addressed that the supercharger will not only be reliable but also perform quite well.
and i did a lil research... PFYC is raping the price of the RSM / Z-Spec kit.. on PFYC.. its $4400 without PCM tuning...
On the Z-Spec webpage.. its $2900 out the door with PCM tuning... figure that one
