The gifted Alero
So I got the 2000 alero 2.4L 5spd from my cousin for free since he was going to scrap it after 3 years of it sitting in his garage. Got it towed to the dealership i was working at, threw a battery in and it started right up! From his garage to insured and plated it cost me $710 which includes 2 tires, rear rotors and pads, 1 outer tie rod and alignment, and 1 3rd brake light bulb! Came with 131 500 km's (little under 82 000 miles). Also came with every service receipt since my cousin brings his cars to the dealership for every single little thing. Even got the original window sticker! and apparently this was the only Alero with these options in black in Ontario at the time.
I've now had it 6 months and the List of stuff done to it (optional and fixing broken crap):
4 New tires
Ceramic pads all around
4 new rotors
Power Steering pump
Clear Corners (with chrome bulbs that light up amber)
WAI
Tinted Windows 35% up front (changing to 17% soon), and 5% all around the back
Removed Spoiler
Debadged Trunk
Sound system including Jvc Deck, Mtx 12" Jackhammer Subwoofer in a Mtx Ported box tuned for the sub, Mtx Jackhammer Amp, Alpine 6x9's and dynomat in the trunk.
And most recently put DropZone springs on.
(Don't forget to laugh at my license plate! Its not custom trust me)
These pics were all taken over the last 2 days, the rust on the hood is the only rust on the entire car.
Good view of rust:
Tinting the taillights soon, just waiting for the tint guy at work to bring me in the VHT nightshade since you can't find it here. Also putting on the rims from my friends 2001 Chrysler Lhs (seen below) since hes upgrading from the 17's to 20's.

Thanks, and yes it does say BJAY, need to replace the front license plate cover since the wash at work broke it completely.

not bad at all, I like the price you paid for it lol and it beats my price of $400 that I paid for mine
edit:
how are the dropzone springs? did it take long for shipping? does it handle any better or is it just lowered feel? I am looking into a set for mine come winter time to store for the spring and gotta ask the questions ahead of time

Nice find man. You did a really good job too. The car looks really nice. I'm also glad to see that you saved it from the scrapper. That's 1 for Alero and 0 for Junkyard.

they bounce a little bit, but the handling does feel better. The guy at mad racing concepts sent the billing info on tuesday afternoon to UPS, package was shipped tuesday night and was delivered at 2 pm thursday not far from toronto, ontario. (Came from york, PA) so id say its pretty fast.

Nice looking Alero! You should tint the windows a lil darker but you don't want to attract the Toronto police haha. We should all southern ontario folks should plan a meet somewhere.

Will those LHS wheels bolt right on or do you need anything additional to make them work?
I know someone with the same ones and if their LHS eventually goes bad, i would throw them on my Alero if it isn't much work.

You can buy it at Canadian Tire now... That is where I got mine for my tail lights...
Nice looking car... And I do agree we should get a southern Ontario meet arranged... Once I get mine fully on the road!!! I am aiming for the end of the month...

Very nice looking! props dude.
The one thing i could wish was that for the 2004 style 16" rim, be made into a 17" or maybe an 18". Then painted Gunmetal, i think would flow great with the dropzones
