Date : June 3rd (i'll be 20 yrs old for 2 days w00t w00t)
Time : 4:30 p.m.
Location : Cracker Barrel Old Country Store
5022 E Chandler Blvd
Phoenix, AZ 85048
(480) 961-9443
Few things i picked up from racing last week
- I will bring an ice chest with pepsi / water / dr. pepper, because you get really thirsty out in the desert
- They accept CASH ONLY, debit cards / credit cards are useless
- Arby's is right down the road
- They have gas from 6-9 (no clue what octane it is)
- I used less than 1/8 a tank of gas due to racing
- It gets really cool (tempature wise) around 11:30 (when it starts closing)
- Spare tires / jacks / etc. were stored in my Mom's Explorer, will try to bring it again for storage. (there isn't a set "pit area" more like a large parking lot, i wouldn't leave things on the ground)
- Car must be in decent shape - (good thread on tires - battery factory sercure - lights work - no hubcaps *even the little ones that cover bolts on aftermarket rims*)
- Dropping tire pressure in front tires might help with grip ( i havn't tested it but derick did) - he broke into the 15's ;-D
- Spinning out in the wet pit really didn't have an effect on the alero, but i like doing it
OK let's see if i can get this thing going this time, i am posting it way in advanced hoping i can get alot of people to make it this time.....

^Count me out man....unless you want to move this to the 3rd of June. That is a saturday so I can make that easily and I would have at least 1 person that will race too...possibly two though...
Bad timing on this man...seriously think about waiting...It would be possible to get even more people if you wait till the 3rd...
...I want to see your brother try to make HIS civic go fast.... ...at least better than the mid 19's he was running...

date changed, i'll do my best to move around my sched (god i hope they are leanient)
Jonathan won't be racing the civic again any time soon, he says the car is acting funny now, he was getting (so he says) 80 mph 3rd geat @ 4000rpms
now he says it's 60 mph / 3rd gear @ 4000 rpms
also he said he was having problems with his 2nd gear, no clue if he stripped gears / clutch w/e so he won't be racing the civic for a while to come

Well I will let my friends know and we will see what happens!
This time I won't make as many runs with almost no wait because my car was acting weird on the way home...I think that my tranny got pretty hot so I got to watch that this time...
Hopefully I can get better R/T's this time around my average of about .8 really sucked
...(I hope that Corvette is there again :hide: )...

may be in the middle of reassembly/tuning about that time, expecting to get the headers back about the end of may, so wish me luck....if I do get it all back together and tuned right by then, I'll try my best to be there. I'm interested to see how that 3800 GA will react
As far as the wet pit, I'm surprised they let you go through the water with street tires, or were you running slicks?

He is runnin Falken GR-B 451's...they are street tires...
the track was letting most people go in the wet pit if they wanted to...I stayed out of it; I didn't think there was any reason for me to use it ...(yes i know it is supposed to make for better burnouts and provide stickier tires but I didnt see the need...
I really hope you get the 'ho assembled and tuned by then...people would freakout at the track...not many forced induction cars there...not to mention a turboed alero ...
Her is a small list of the sweet cars/vehicles:
-1300 GSX-R Hayabusa (Turboed)...was runnin 8.7 in 1/4 mile
-Viper GTS (x3)
-Evolution VIII
-Corvette
Yea, lots of sweet rides

well, "should" is a subjective term. Basically most tracks dont allow it with street tires because the tread carries water forward to the staging line, which causes slippage and loss of control for other drivers on launch. With slicks, there's nowhere for water to hide so it rubs off on the asphault when you burn out forwards onto the dry spots.

not looking good so far, still waiting on headers to come back. Even when they do get here, I'll still have to do a complete recalibration for the oversized MAF, install the heads, L/UIM, and tune that sucker. Time is too short for me to make June 3rd.
