New Interior
Hey all...
So, first thing I'm doin while on leave? Guttin the inside and throwing something new down. This morning she's in the garage, comepletely stripped - minus the dash - and I think that even that may be leaving for a while...
I'll do my best to have pics up at the end of the day to show the progress...
Edge.

Just finished for the day... wow!
I finished the initial red-leather for the top part of the console... a bit of fiberglassing too... the bottom half has been cut, and tomorrow the 'vents' will be fiberglassed and black leather thrown onto that...
The 'flat decking' where the back seats were measured up and I'll be welding the initial grate hopefully tomorrow.
I measured out the 'kick panels' for the doors as well. Tomorrow the two pieces of stainless steel will be cut, then sent for sandblasting. "Racing Reaper" will be left polished on the driver side. Problem is the cut for the reflector may pose some problems. We'll see.
The new shifter shaft is being sent away for chroming as well... should have that in a couple days. As well, the shift knob will be sent for sand blasting as well once the "kick panels" are ready.
Oh, and I had a couple beers too..

Nice interior trim pieces, that's how I had mine painted, and had some red cloth for the cloht trim pieces in the doors.
I like it!
Should end up pretty tight, from the looks of it!

Thanks for the support!
Well, slight delay… as oppose to using a grated sheet of steel, 4 pieces total, I’m just going to get a single piece of stainless steel cut and weld that in… though, it’s going to take about a week… which is alright. In that time I can finish the door panels and get to work on finishing the floor consol and sneak in a trip to Calgary on the weekend. But, other than that, a lot was still finished today.
Time for a beer.

Picked up the new piece of stainless steel to use as the foundation for the floor. As well, ordered the new speaker covers for the doors today, and began to cut the holes for the 6 1/2"ers... what else... ...todays a recovery day, someone's birthday party was just a bit to wild, and walking in at 8 am... whooooo...

Worked a bit on the top part of the floor console. This is just the back half... but you see some of the fiberglassing and the new shape around the cup holder (the lips removed).
Since that picture, the red's trimmed and black will be put over top of the rest.

nice job, but is that fiberglass reinforced where the ebrake is. like 2-3 layers? not just 1 single layer? If not.. i hope no one or anything ever touches that spot. it will be fragile to the touch. Or the heat can warp the shape of it.

Thank on the compliments... as for the fiberglass, where the lip was cut there are 2 layers, that are overlapped with 3 layers where the e-break was.
