Borla exhaust coming soon.....
Ok well my birthday is Nov. 2nd and im asking for money from everyone. I dont know how much im gonna get, but i plan on putting that money towards the Borla exhaust. Now i read this on American Performance of Colorado......
made from T-304 stainless steel this is a complete cat-back system will also fit the alero with minor modifcation
Now by minor modifcation do they mean that i would have to make the cut out for the bumper, cause i obviously know that already, but is there anything else i would have to do????? or is it just the bumper
Prices for exhaust on diff sites.......
American Performance- $659.00
PFYC- $687.99
Are there any other sites that sell it cheaper than american performance????

PFYC has free shipping, so i prob will go with them, but i want this exhaust cause
1. the dual outlets would look nice
2. no shop around here does custom exhaust, and the ones that do will run me $700, same price as the borla

dude, you could probably drive to the shop that did mine in north carolina, drive back and it will still be cheaper than borla counting the gas money too.

I would, but then i would go to the place, drop the car off, and have to wait there for a few hours. I cant have a friend follow me cause first off i dont think the ones that can drive will want to follow me out for a while anyways and second the friends i do think would do it, work all the time, so there is no time for them to follow me out somewhere.
I mean, if i spend $700 on the exhaust i dont mind, cause its a good brand and it will look nice, and as long as it lasts till my car dies i will be happylol Plus not many people have put a borla on their 3400 lol

Dude thats crazy don't forget once u get the exhaust you have to get someone to mount it and shave your bumper, your looking at some more $$$ there if they won't make u a custom exhaust for under 700 just think how much mounting and modifying the bumpers going to be. Theres no way all the shops around you are that expensive or NY is crazy. I got my cat back all new pipe and muffler (Flow 40) with an ss oval stainless steel tip for 220 done in an hour. It'd be cheaper for u to make the eight our trip to ohio and have my local shop here do it for you. I'd check out the yellow pages a little harder and think about maybe crossin a closer border to have it done if you still can't find anyone to do it. Goodluck do what ya want but i could think of a whole lot more i could do with 700 bucks

I am going to do the cutout on the bumper with my step dad and hes gonna put the exhaust on. Now a buddy of mine who works at a performance shop told me it would cost around the same for a custom exhaust as the borla.....i think its crazy that they are the same, and that place must f*ck a lot of people over. im gonna call up some more places soon, but its just a matter of trust......does anyone here know the albany area??? cause they are pretty damn shady, so if u lived here u would know what im talking about. Now about driving out of the area, im not sure im up for it and like i said i dont really want to sit around and wait. but i will call places, but i do like the borla cause its a good brand and i can install it myself and not worry about shady ass people f*cking with my car.

You can definitely find it for less than $700... The alero single-outlet goes for around $500. Try googling the part number.

and if you didn't want to drive to NC, soundx is in OH. thats about 6hrs if your going the speed limit. you could leave in the morn, get there (to whatever mech he suggests) get it done and get back home as the sun is going down.
few tanks of gas is MUCH better then paying out the ass for an exhaust. I know here in WNY we have a bunch of exhaust places, several custom ones, but i have no idea who does good work and who doesn't.

$700 for exhaust, they are sticking it up your tailpipe big time! Go out of your area to another shop. You can do much better.

Ive been telling him that for weeks. Kid just won't listen to reason. Hey man, get it done out of area if you have to, then take all that money you saved and buy more performance shit. For $700 you are damn close to headers and exhaust if you have it done right.
