Its possible all you basically will need is the engine, trans, computer, wiring, and engine mounts.

Yo Dan...
There's another thread floating around somewhere about the first current gen. N-Body to get a 3400 ==> 3800 SC swap.
BTW, I don't think I can roll Friday. Might be able to for a few hours before 9pm but I've got plans...doubt you'd want to drive al that way for nothing. Let me know...

Not to mention a new hood to clear the supercharger. You can get just as much power, for less cost, with the new turbo kit that's out. I've heard about 260 to the ground (not to the wheels, that equals about 290-300 at the crank).

That kit doesnt make enough HP to hurt that trans it can easily take 300 hp which is about the horsepower and fully modded 3400 would make.

I'm sure it would hurt the trans, eventually, and possibly the motor. Just ask Springs about boost hurting your motor.

Hell, my trans already has problems, and I barely have any mods. I just drive the crap out of my car.

MY car has 74,000 miles and I beat the living poop out of it and I have no problem, I guess it is the luck of the draw.

well considering that is dynoed at 264hp and 284tq at 9psi, it will hurt your tranny, the only guy who i have seen so far lost use of reverse after about 5,000 miles, by the way our max torque tranny rating is the same as our torque from the factory stock, if that doesn't tell you something is wrong.....

so you mean to tell me before you buy this turbo kit, you have to buy, a new PCM and a new tranny. and... the only aftermarket transmission for our n-bodies is that bulletproff transmission and thats what 2,500?..........wow over 6,000$ just for a little under 100 hp..

you don't have to, i mean there are plenty of strong trannies that have seen high boost numbers such as sc/alero and springs, anyways, i would highly reccomend a reprogram though if you really want to run it right, me personally as my car will have a turbo more for the show than the go i will probably just leave it at a conservative 5psi......besides i won't be able to go to the track when my door handles are shaved anyways.....

4cyl=different tranny than mine. You don't necessarily have to buy a bulletproof tranny. There are many different trannies available, I would personally go with one from a GAGT. I also believe that the PCM reprogram is offered as an option with the turbo kit.

the one gagt guy was saying to wait becuase Turbocharged Power and DHP is having a big dispute over the whole pcm reprogramming so unless you have a custom tuner near you your poop out of luck at the moment.....
