Stock the 3400 has 170 hp and the ecotec and 2.4 have 140 hp, although we all know that more hp can be obtained with the ecotec at this time.

same with ANY engine.

BTW the 2.4 comes with 15-170 (its varied in documentation) HP.

I think John had the most HP with like 299.7, I know it was JUUUST shy of 300.

The 3400 has tons of potential. With the new cam that will be available soon to match up with turbos and sc that are already available 300 whp 3400's wont be uncommon.

Is there a way to start a big campage here, like on GA.com?

There is no need for a big campaign. The cam is for the 3400 and is not make specific. The gentleman that spearheaded is chris white who works for high performance pontiac magazinel. The project should hopefully be wrapped up by june-august.

doubtful, John had the boost turned up on the S/C, intercooler, and just about everything BUT a cam and still was a hair shy of 300 so its still not gonna be that common.

Somebody should make a stroke/bore kit for the block... GM has taken it to 3.9L so there's gotta be plenty of meat in the cylinder walls to bore it out at least...
