What is the difference between the ACC wire that goes into the HU and the remote wire that comes out and goes to the amp? Could you have it set up that the remote amp wire from the stock HU could act as the ACC wire for a second aftermarket HU? Wouldn't this mean that the second HU could retain RAP?

Your remote line acts as a turn on for your amp. The amp sees the 12 volt and switches a relay. There is very little pull (amperage) from the amplifier. If you tried to run a HU the remote line could easily burn up. Most HU's are rated for 5-7 amps while the remote line tends to be around 2 amps.
