Hey everyone. About 10k miles ago I had to get new tires to replace my OEM BF Goodrich tires. I replaced them with the ones the tires dealer suggested which were Mastercraft Sensys 01. Since they installed them, the car has vibrated and bounced at highway speeds. I have taken them back and they rebalanced them, but it did not help. I thought there may be something wrong with my car, so I took it to the dealer to see if they could find the problem. They checked EVERYTHING on the car and they even rebalanced the tires also and told me these had a much to high Tread wear rating. They said the stock tires were somewhere near 300 and these are 620 and the compound is much harder. I have never heard this before, but it could only make sense, since it happend after I replaced the OEM tires. Have any of you guys ever heard this before? What stock replacements SHOULD I have gotten? I just have the stock 15 inch wheels and tires.... Thanks for your help

The BFG's that come stock on the 15" wheels are actually pretty good tires, unlike the Goodyear's I got on my 16" from the factory.

My mech told me the only tires you should buy are one of the following, BFG's, Michellin, Pirelli, or Goodyear, but I'll never go back to Goodyears, they wear too fast.

I put Michellien Extalo's on mine. I have 17" on the car now. I highly recomm. them, but they are very expensive. My neighbor has the same tires on his MB Kompressor, from the factory. 15" may be cheaper though.

I'm putting BFG T/A's on the Delta next year

Thanks for your replys. I just hate that I wasted almost $300 on these POS tires. I wonder if I could sell them locally? I have doing some research also. Have any of you guys ever used Falken Tires? I was looking on Discount Tire Direct and seen a 16 inch wheel and tire package that included Falken tires.

i have run Cooper Zeon 2XS for the past 2 yrs, 2 sets, and i have run them hard, they corner extremely well, handle great in the wet, but are soft so only last a yr or so, depending on driving habits, this go round i'm changing over to Bf Goodrich gForce KDW to try them out, my friend put them on the back of his mustang and very pleased with them. he runs Zeos on the front.

I have the Zeons's also and am VERY happy with them, and they're not very expensive at all. My dad has the BFG KDW's on his Z and those also handle very well. I may try those on my car next, i have no reason to get away from the Zeon's though.

If you upgrade to 16's I would highly recommend the Kelly EVO-Z's I put on mine. 420 Treadwear Rating AA Traction A Temp for $106 ea. They grip great and are excellent in the rain.

I just got the Continental ContiExtremeContact for mine, they're a good all-around tire. My dad has had them on his Infiniti for over a year or so now and they've proven themselves in all 4 seasons.

It might not be the treadwear rating, but it could be. Kinda sounds like the tires are out of round, at discount, (Americas tire co) we always had people coming in with that crap with cheap tires... w/ tires you iether get name brand over priced, or you get what you pay for!!
Falkens are good tires, try them out.. don't get goodyear unless it's the assurance comfort tread, or tripple tread, but those are pricey

you should get your money back or at least get a discount on a diff. set of tires. get a set of the bfg's or get a set of goodyear eagle le, they are a harder than the stock one that come on the car, i think the tread wear is around400.
