Ballast Mounting

Hey all, first time posting, hope it's in the right spot. Getting ready to install the DDM HIDs in my 04. Just curious on how everyone is going about mounting the ballasts. Looking for some ideas. Pics would be helpful if you can. Thanks!

Here's a link to a how-to thread with pics that another member created some years back. Hope it helps. Just be advised the thread is originally from 2009 so if you post in it a lot of the members from back then aren't active on the site anymore lol. So you may not get a response back.

Basically you just need to mount it in a spot that'll keep it and the connections dry and give you enough room to unhook the plugs to remove your light housings if you need to change a bulb etc...

Unfortunately i dont have any pictures of mine otherwise I'd share lol

I believe mine ended up tucked under the light. There are several good spots once you play around with it a bit. 1st alero accommodated high and low beam slim ballast kits with no problems.

+1 for tucking under the light housing. Never had any issues. I do highly recommend the harness though so your lights get instant power directly from the battery. Without the harness, it took 15 seconds or so for the ballast to charge up or something like that.
