I got a dillema here. I like the stock stereo because its equipped with a both a cd and cassete player.... i know who uses them anymore. But i plan on getting a laptop this summer before i start college and decided i could use the cassete adapter like for the portable cd players. so now i figure i can listen to all the music i want through winamp very easily i was wondering if there is a specific stereo i can purchase in which i connect my laptop to it.

thanks

BLK03GXS is an unknown quantity at this point
most aftermarket decks have a AUX in for things like dvdplayers and cd-changers, etc
Some decks have a miniplug imput on the front, but most of those are trash crappy decks.
just get a deck with an aux imput and use a rca-miniplug adapter cable

actually very few decks have AUX inputs...Sony has some in the rear and I know Audiovox has them on the front but as for Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood..none of them have aux in's. Just get an FM Modulator for your laptop..it plugs into the headphone jack and transmits the sound signal over the air and you tune ur radio in your car to a certain channel and it picks up the music.

You say Pioneer doesn't have AUX ins? Well, mine does. I have the DEH-P6600, it has two AUX ins in the back, and the one I had before that, the 6400, had one AUX in the back. Actually, the 6600, has three RCA plugs in the back, one dedicated to the subs, and two for whatever else you want.

My Eclipse HU has two seperate inputs. One is a aux using the mini plug and the other is a digital input.

Woops, if you want to get technical. There are four inputs in the back of mine. I forgot to include the digital hookup (for sat. radio, etc.).

Most decks that have a port for CD changer control have the capability to add an aux in to. You just have to buy an adapter for it. I know kenwood sells two different models depending on the configuration you need. Also there are a ton of aftermarket adapters out there for factory decks with CD changer inputs.
