lol...i hate manual windows because its hard as hell to get em down for the toll booth fast enough and you have to leave em down wheh you are waiting for fast food in the rain because im too lazy to put em back up.....and the handle always falls off(this is my escort...not my alero...alero has power windows)

do yourself a favor : Search for "Window regulator" on the main page of Aleromod and count the number of failure. That will convince you to stay with manual windows.

Mine just died this past Friday. Lucky it's still under warranty from the last time it died. Car 8 yrs old, all other windows, no problem. Driver-side front, constantly.

FYI - My manual regulator has been changed already, as well as the clips.

I know they can brake, but from what I see they tend to last longer than the power window's

If you are still looking at doing it, autoloc makes a kit for them.
But same opinion as everyone else.... stick with manual. My g/f's car has never had a problem with auto windows, but they suck during the winter when they are covered in ice and you cant roll them down. Thats my only complaint.

i've had my car for quite a while now, i roll my window down almost every day and its never had a problem yet. nothing in the service history about being replaced either.
but i wouldm't be a simple swtich. you would heed all new door switched and run wires into the doors and all that crap.
