Never heard of that one.

Maybe the car is crying

Well if the SES comes on, then get it scaned and let us know. It's still in the system

Clarification: flashing SES is severe misfires.
Get your car checked right away before you do serious damage.
Until then, no more WOT or heavy throttle runs.

I work there. About 2 or so months ago, we were told we can no longer check engine codes because it was making our commercial shop accounts lose money. Not sure if it is company wide or just a district thing, but the ones here in Vegas don't anymore. Autozone still does tho.

You can always buy a cheap scanner for $40.

I have one (somebody gave it to me) but it's just a cheapy one, however at the time, cheap was $150

Probably weak fuel pump, filter that's going out, or weak plugs or even a very clogged air filter.... assuming it runs OK when you're NOT at WOT.

WOT requires much more from the systems and can weed out components that are on their way out, but can still function when 100% is not required of them.

HELP!!! I have an 1999 Alero V6 3400 and have SES code p0327 and not sure what to do any more. I have replaced the plugs and wires, changed out the knock sensor, and just replaced the fuel pump, old one was bad anyways, and still have the code coming up. I unpluged the battery for about 5 hours and still have the same problem. I have a scanner and i am tired of the light coming on. Please if you have any input please post them to me. Thanks....

I'd imagine we have a single wire knock sensor, right?

Unplug it and the PCM, then ohm between the knock sensor and PCM to make sure the wire is not cut/frayed/corroded.

If that doesn't do it.. then I don't know WHAT would.. knock sensor circuits are insanely simple.

did anyone ever think of a bad coilpack? unplug wires from the coil pack and see which ones make no difference to the way the engine runs. When you find one that makes no difference that's your dead cylinder. if both the plugs on that coil are dead it's probably the coil pack. if just one of them is, check the wire that's going to that plug. if that's fine, then there's a pretty good possibility you've got a bad injector in that cylinder, or a loss of compression.
