Trans Question

It's not like im gonna do it tomorrow or anything. But I was thinking if I do rebuild my other motor for N/A and put it back in I might as well get a trans too.

I've looked and looked and haven't found a straightforward answer yet.

So my question is, can a GAGT trans (4t45e w/ 3.29) be installed and work correctly in an alero.

Now I know it will bolt up and fit. But what needs to be done about the gear ratio???

Can it just be changed in the pcm???? Tuned PCM???

yes you can do it. i suggest a 2003 or later trans because of better internal strength on a few key components. also you will have to get the pcm reflashed for the gear ratio.
