Hello.

Im sure its not rocket science.

You need a ground. Where you connect one wire to metal somewhere. Then you need power from a 12V source.

How about you post how many wires are in that thing, cause I've never seen one. You could have 3 wires for all we know and one could be +12v, ground, and +12 ign.

Here's the problem with wiring them to 12volt constant....they will always be on. You are going to have to wire them to a switch as well, but a 12constant can be taken from the battery directly, or in the fuse panel on either side by tapping into the hot side of one of the fuses. I would use a fuse that doesn't have anything critical on it cause you don't know the current draw on those lights and you wouldn't want to blow a critical fuse. If you want it to work with the dome lights then you will have to tap into those wires and they are located at the top of the headliner or down the driver side A pilar I believe.

With five wires I would assume that there is a hot(12v) wire for each light, 1 common ground, and the others are for the temp and compass. Unless they are clearly marked you may want to down load the diagram from powerlibary in the general performance thread for that year and model.

Yes I think it runs down the driver side A pillar! Doesn't take much to get them off and if it isn't there then taking the other side off would be no problem.

Do you have the exact year/make/model of the car you got the mirror from? I can get the wiring diagram for it that way.
