Anyone try one fo these aftermarket transmission pans with drain bolt?

Rock Auto shows the same part number for both 4 cylinder and V6 engines???

I wouldn't go out of my way to do this, but if I were replacing the filter anyway, it would be tempting to install something like this.

Reviews tend to suggest that you should get a better bolt gasket before using it, but otherwise positive.

I installed that transmission pan to my Trailblazer. Was a perfect fit but the metal plug gasket would seep fluid. I used nylon drain plug gasket Dorman 65270 to cure the issue.

Yes, even if you are changing the filter, you don't have all that mess, and have to balance that full pan to drain it.
I've had a few slip up doing trans filters.
Does GM still use the nice re usable pan gasket.
I've had good luck (no leaks) with them.

I'd want one of these, with a magnetic drain bolt and better drain bolt gasket for the win!

At least in my case, I wouldn't do this. I am on my 3rd transmission and every transmission has had the pan dented. Although installing a drain plug like this is easier.

Plus, anything Doman, will NEVER find a home on any of my cars

I also hate Dorman, but if the pan gets good reviews and fits, and you can get a good drain plug and drain plug gasket, and if I could see it first in person locally, I might be interested.
