Color Change

I finally finished filling the factory spoiler holes and changing the spoiler from black to red. All in all, I'm happy with it. For two weekends of work, under $100 spent, it's nice as long as you dont look to close.
Yes, its wavy where I didn't sand very well and never used finishing putty and only the filler. No the coat is not even. No, I did not fade it onto adjacent panels for a better match. I used cheap stuff, I didn't do it 'right' by any means. I did it myself and it looks nice enough for my purposes. I know there a lot of mixed opinions about this, and I've considered not posting this several times. It's my car, and I don't think its even close to worth getting it done right. I enjoyed doing it myself (on a budget) despite the FAR from great results, its a lot better than a typical rattle can job.
So here it is, would be nice if we could keep this thread from going to crap like a lot of recent body work posts. I gave it a quick wash n wax, and got it a bit shiny again. Still no exhaust tip, and bunch a of recent rust of rock chips, but darn it doesn't look half bad in pictures. Enjoy!

I agree. The Alero is one of those cars that looks good with or without the spoiler. The Grand Am on the other hand only looks good with the spoiler imo.

Its certainly better than the sticky side of duck tape showing through. its much less ostentatious as well. Thanks!

Its not awful. I considered leaving it off, tried it out for 2 weeks. If I were to ever do it I would go spoiler less before going back to a factory spoiler. All in all, I still think the razzi spoiler is The Best look to complete the alero ass end. I also never thought I would go completely de-badged, but that is growing me now.

That was the best random plate I could have asked for! The cruze got "###MAY" and I can't but feel like I should have flowers on it or something. Alero isnt bad, grand am is fugly w/o a spoiler. SC/T is a great look for either though.

Yeah, I like it lol. You don't see very many standard license plates that actually spell out words. Does the one on the Cruze expire in May by any chance? That would be funny if it spells out May and expires then too.

I almost bought a Grand Am that didn't have a spoiler once. The first thing I was going to do had I bought it was put a spoiler on it cause I thought it looked ugly without one. That being said my Alero didn't have a spoiler and it looked just fine. I do agree with you though that the SC/T spoiler looks good on either car.

It will be on there until the rest of the car craps out and rusts off around it, then I'll find it another good home!
