On the exaust from the manifold is it the resinator then the catilitics converter or is it the cat then the resenator basic question but I need to know....

I'm think on almost all cars now its cat then resonators throughout the rest of the piping. I don't know why they put the cat first, but it seems to always be in the same spot.

cuz the cat generates alot of heat and it needs to be relativly close to the front of the car so that once it heats the gases they will seek the cooler atmoshpere temps and flow quickly out the tail pipe.

Actually, the cats need to be hot to work effectively. Thus they're put as close to the engine as can be, where the exhaust gasses are still nice and hot, because they cool on their way down and out the exhaust system.

Correct. A cold cat does nothing for the emmission. Here's a neat little article on catalytic converters if anyone is interested. It does a nice job explaining how they work.
