I definitely miss my Alero. The 2.2 5-speed was a sweet setup and fun to drive. Not to mention fuel efficient. Since I was planning on supercharging it, I couldn't pass this up. I'm definitely pleased with the trade. I also recently picked up the 82 Mercury Capri pictured on the right.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the Alero looks better...but I understand that you want performance.

Both cars have their pros and cons. Overall, the Alero was an overall better daily driver but kinda small for my needs. The GP is a gas guzzler. I do miss the 5-speed though... When I did the trade, I had performance in mind and also didn't have the Capri yet... I already have most of the stuff for the stage 1 upgrade though... I'm gonna start driving my truck and start working on both the Capri and GTP. I want to take both to the track (US-131 Srag Strip, Martin, MI) this summer.
