Led dome light

Hey have a 12v led dome light and when its on the "door" position it stays on very dimely after the car has been off for a while and drags down my bettery over a week or so, if i put it on "off" it aleviates the issue. Im pretty sure it needs a resistor in it but idk wat size resistor or do you guys have any other fixes for it.

it definitely is NOT dragging down your battery. You have a problem somewhere else.

your car battery, on the LOW end, has maybe 300CCA. That led (AT MOST, meaning full draw) has 135ma/h

135*24 = 3.2A/day
3.2*7=22.4A/week

HIGHLY doubt its your LED dome light.(unless you left your dome light ON for... 10 weeks) Also, that little bit of light that it gives off, is due to a poor wiring method and a "ground leak" in the door circuit. If you can find a way to fix it...great! Let us know. But a resistor won't do it. Only thing a resistor will do, is change it so the resistor sucks up that little bit of current and you won't see it.

so... covering it up, instead of seeing it, doesn't fix the issue.
