Omfg!!!! Yeah!!!
So, in today's edition of: "How did Josh do at the track", we have my best 1/4 mile run ever. Did my best on the first run, progressively got worse after that lol. My slowest was a 15.1.... but it was awesome. I also got to around 93 mph on some of the other slower runs, not sure how that works out really... but anyway for those who cant see the pic cuz its blurry, the best time, on the right was:
R/T: .485
60': 2.211
330: 6.257
1/8: 9.631
MPH: 73.65
1000: 12.505
1/4: 14.969
MPH: 91.77

I really never thought that just intake, PCM, and exhaust could do that... but wow. Wonder what I could run when its cold ?

You got that with those mods, and Redog spent a lot of money getting to 14.5. Congratulations on your factory freak.

Yeah all tracks are different, just depends. Ive heard that Cecil is a fast track anyway so that probably adds to it. Heck I ran a 15.4 with an intake so I think its a faster track than some.

Which track did you run that at anyway? Very good times for such little mods
I gotta get to Cecil and Atco soon, since I get get the car into the 14's at E-town, I wonder what kind of numbers those track will give me now.
Atco's faster because of all the trees. The trees produce more oxygen thus giving better times. After the grandstand, your racing into the woods basicly

Yeah that time was from Cecil. Its surrounded by trees too so maybe that has some part in it? Probably paired with the fact my car seems to be a factory freak, running a 15.4 with just a CAI. Seriously though if you ever go to Cecil, let me know, I'll be there unless theres a natural disaster between me n the track... but i might still attempt it lol. I just wanna see another modded alero in person, I'm the only one for miles as far as I can tell, besides the guy that put huge rims from what looks to be an escalade on his... ew...

Did those tickets say the Barometer reading was 17.82????? I'd really like to know what kind of weather you were having there since 29's are normal and I've never seen a reading lower than 26.

Lol i dont trust the baro readings for Cecil.... nor the temperature. I do know it was in the high 50s that night, but the last time i was there the baro was at 17.82 also... im assuming its broken or something.

Well Ill have to look up E-town to find out how to get there, n of course im still living at home so gotta clear it with the rents first too. College is cheaper living off campus tho... Ill live. Whenever ur at cecil I gotta convince some of my friends to come along n see what a real alero can do. All I get are laughs even though Ive got the fastest car as of now in my group of friends.

^^ Yeah the Alero gets no respect
I loved the time the kids at Atco were saying "HA HA HA It's a effing Alero" Then I crushed their homeboy in his V6 Mustang, not that it's a real challenge, but they couldn't believe it Then they wanted to be my friend. Sorry no thanks

becareful with them v6's, if i remember correctly the v6 only has 2.89 gears in it. all the 6 has to do is change gears to like 3.73's or maybe 4.11's and they become pretty quick. as a mustang owner i have alot of love for the alero but performance wise it takes alot to make an alero quick.

^That's assuming the kids know what to do with the Mustangs to make them faster. They rarely think about gearing. All they know is Intake & Exhaust.

Haha yeah man there is no shortage of V6 stangs here... but now theyre no real challenge. I had to pass one that didnt want to be passed, with 4 people in the car before, and the dude in the mustang was pissed. The only run like 16.0 stock... like QCMustang said its got some to do with the gearing. Also just think about power to weight ratios.. were around 3069lbs with the alero, but I think stangs are what 3400lbs ? Then take stock horsepower, 170 to 190, and the cars are about equal... until you factor in gearing.
Oh and my friends cars are: Infinity g20t, Nissan Sentra 1.8, Grad Prix (w 3800), mustang V6 (lol), Mazda3 <= biggest threat he has work done but still cant beat me ^_^
