HID Low and High Beam Question
I am thinking about converting over to HID but just have a few questions before I do.
If I want Low and High Beams do I just get 2 sets (4 ballasts) of HID kits and maybe do 35 watt for the low beam and 55 watt for the high?
If I just do the HID for my low beams will my Stock halogen High beams still work?
Thanks Guys BTW its an 01 Alero if that makes any difference...

i have 35w 6000k hid lows and 55w 5000k highs. yes you do need 2 sets (4 ballasts). if you get low beam hids, your high beams will function like before.
there is one problem. you will need to do the 4 headlight on mod. that means when you go to high beams your low beams will stay on, otherwise when you go to highs, the lows will shut off, and when you go to lows your hids will need time to warm up, and you wont have much light for a while
the 4 headlight mod is easy. takes a relay.
the hid plug in kit is easy.
what i also did was 2 relays so that both high and low ballasts could get power directly from the battery. still fairly easy, but time consuming
if anything isn't clear, just let me know, i'll try to explain

colonel please do a write up, the reason why I gave away my 35 watt kit was because of how the high and low setup is. if you can do a write up id gadly use both high and lows

do you want a write up on how to wire the 4 headlight setup? so your lows stay on when you go to highs?
you can get low beam highs, and keep regular high beams. from what i've heard most people dont even use high beams once they go low beam hid. i'll find the link again.
and if your car has low beam drl, you will have to disable that also. it's also easy to do

I am going to run with just the low beams for now. So I guess my only question would be how to do the 4 headlight mod with the relay.
Thanks
