I was told by a rather nice police officer this morning that I have a brake light out.. I know the bulb size but I just want to get everyones opinions on which brand of bulbs they like for brake lights. I just replaced them like 2 months ago and the passenger side has already blown. I don't even know what brand they are, just a cheep bulb from Walmart. Also, can you use LED's? Seems as though I've read on here somewhere that a member did this but I can't remember where I read it at. No flame wars though on why you don't like a certain brand that someone else does. I just want everyones personal preference. Thanks

brake lights are 3157 and the parking lights are 3057. Leds work perfect except they don't get very bright when you push on the brakes. They are really bright for the parking lamps. They also don't shine into the reflector at all, so really all you have is a little dot for brake and tail lights. Search for the matrix led bulbs, they are designed to shine into the reflector.

Problem with LED bulbs, is that if you don't have a resistor in with them, your turn signals will blink a lot faster then normal bulbs.

Just stick with sylvania bulbs, they don't blow nearly as much as the cheap y'all mart bulbs.
