Our hazard switches have faulty wiring that cause them to short out, affecting your turn signals and making various noises. Mine had a random "brrrrrrrrrrrrrzzzzzzzzttt" that would scare the shit out of a grown man. Sometimes my signal lights wouldn't work until I pushed the button in a few times. Its a bitch to replace, I had to take most of the dash apart to remove it without wrecking anything.

I replaced the multi-switch in the steering column, cleared the problem up. I changed the hazard switch to be safe also. There is a recall on this, but I did it myself cause I figured it would be a hassle trying to get a dealership to actually do it. Only problem is that my horn stopped working after I changed it. Now I have to yell real loud out the window at all the jerks who cut me off.

We get these alot here at my work, even have a gold alero in today for what I'm guessing the problem is. (the owner pushed the hazard button so hard it pushed behind the dash and broke the bracket it sits in. But when one comes in we recommend a multi function switch and a hazard switch. Neither are hard to do. Remove center vent via to clips on the bottom side of vent, and then look left and up and a child could figure it out from there. For multi function switch, just remove steering column cover and you will see a tourx on the top side, romove that torx and wiggle mfs and it will pop loose, then remove the two connectors going into it, easy.. let me know if that didn't make sense

I went on to napa pro link a multi function switch at my shop cost is 91.29 it says to sell at 139 but my shop is way over priced cause we are in a rich part of MN so probably around 100-110$ est if you go to napa. And what I found works good with goin to napas down here in Faribault where i dont have an account and in need of a part NOW is say something like... I really need the part and it sucks I gotta pay out of the ass for this I'm short on money cause __________ (<insert reason here) or just ask them if they got a cool car and start talking motor with them, and get on there good side, usually they will become friends and lower price or just give em a shot, like think i could get a little specail from ya.. idk it works 50/50

ATMOSPHERE: If it pushes into the dash remove the center vent, remove the hazard switch and replace the bracket that holds the hazard, I'll make a how to later as I have to do one on a gold alero at work today, had to wait a day for parts
