I have painted my interior and am putting carpet down tommrow. Everything has went better then I thought but I have one problem. My seat belts. Where do I buy black belts? Is there any dyes I can buy to dye them black? Also does anyone know how to take off the carpet on the roof of the car? I need to dye this but I dont want to break it while learning how it comes off lol.
Seems like I saw a how to on removing the headliner. Might try searching for that. I know I saw a website with black seat belts. I'll see if I can find it for ya. I don't know if I would dye them though. They aren't very thick so the chances of the dye taking might not be so good. I'll post the website if I can find it again.
EDIT: I read your post wrong. You're wanting to dye the headliner, right? Maybe someone else can tell you what to do there because I have no idea. I thought you meant you were gonna dye the seat belts. Sorry, I'm having another blonde moment. :P
well I was thinking about getting a ton of dye and letting the belts soke in it over night then let the dry. I think the best way to save a mess is to get new ones. I can't see how they would cost that much. Just need the belt nothing else.
This may or may not be what you're looking for but I found the website. Here it is. Hope it works for ya. And I don't think dying the seat belts would be a good move... if they get wet, the dye will probably come off on the seats or on you. I'm just guessing though.
All I need is the belt nothing else. If I buy OEM I'm paying 10 times then what I need to because it comes with all the parts. 120 each seat X 4 is a lot more money then I'm going to spend lol. 480.00 can be spent much better like buying new seats and 4 points for a bit more around 900.00. This is what I am going to do very soon I just wanted a cheap fix for right now.

You know more than I do.
I started working with cars 4 months ago. Before then I didn't know a car had a oil filter lol. Learning fast. Just the few days I have been on aleromod.com I have learned so much stuff. Spent two 4 hour days reading the board. There is so much here I just hope to be able to give something back for taking so much.
