Q: Taillight Painting
As seen in this image, I'd like my tails to look as such. A Photoshop edit of it looks nice even on a red Alero.
My question is: What should one spray/coat the area to be painted in order to block out any and all light from the tail lamps before spraying the red colored paint?

I think that's vinyl, but I may be wrong.

That looks like it could possibly be a custom cut sticker, anything else would let light out

our tails look great on a red and black alero. Leave them alone and get rid of the park bench.

Well then, back to the original question: What should one coat the tails with before putting the colored paint over it, in order to prevent any and all light from coming through? Black paint first?
