Yo, what up,
I am thinking of pimpin' my Alero, but I want to do two things to it first.
I just bought an 01 Alero from an auction in New York. Here is what I want to do right away:
1. Has anyone ever installed a rear spoiler? I want to get the stock one and have it put on. Are there any do's or dont's that I should know.
2. I also would like to have the stock fog lights put in as well. Any input?
Now a general question: What is the difference between the 01 motor in my Alero and the 03 motor in my wife's Alero. I know there is a difference in Horsepower, but anything else? :huh?:

welcome to the site  if you are going to get a spoiler, i would get the razzi spoiler not the stock one. just as long as you dont get a park bench put on there it should look ok.

As for the spoliers Get the razzi not the stock one

welcome to the family.
far as motors the V-6 hasn't changed hp. the 2.4 had 150hp and the 2.2 Ecotec has 140 hp. so depends on which alero has what motor. but those are the motors available for the alero.

I'm sure a stock spoiler can be added to your Alero. I've seen it done on Bonnevilles, and trust me thats a diffrent job drilling holes through the trunk, in like 12 diffrent spots.
Maybe a wrecker could get you one, and even if you had it painted, probally would be cheaper than GM.
