Quick Help, Brake Caliper
I need to get my caliper off, so i can "desqueek" my brakes... I got everything i need (except a c clamp, but i'll make do) but when i remove the bottom bolt from the caliper, it only moves like an inch forward, then locks on something... it won't go anywhere, except back to where it was.
What the hell is going on? suggestions?

i just asked around and used the most recommended kind.
autozone sells it "Disc Brake Quiet" its a big pink plastic tube. cost 3.99. You put it on where the pads contact the caliper, let it set for about 20 minutes (or 40 in my case) and then put it back on like normal.
As for the control arm bushings, i just gave them a good shot of lithium grease. it quieted them down pretty good. If those keep squeaking like they have (every 1.5 years or so) i'll go through and replace them w/ polyurethane ones, and give em a good throughout greasing when i do.
