Took my back panel off and everything to get access to the stock 6x9s and I find out that the new ones aren't going to fit without some cutting. What should I use to make the hole bigger and how should I go about doing it? I want to make sure I do it right the first time so I'm asking. Thanks in advance

well there should be 2 black plastic brackets that the old speakers were sitting in. If you simply break off the tabs the new speakers will fit back in those brackets and you an use the provided toscrews to screw the speakers to the bracket...worked for me...twice

Exactly, I have some massive magnets on my speakers, and they fit fine once the plastic tabs were broken.

Unless your 6 X 9's have like 12 inch magnets :o

I have Type-R's in mine.. and I had to use a set of metal snips to make them fit. It's ugly, but you can't tell with the rear dash cover on. It was definately a very large pain in my ass, though.
