anyone have any good suggestions for alarms(cheap, good, ease of install) that are good for aleros. i'm personally not mod-ing much exterior wise (yet or ever) but doing alot of interior and just fearing someone tearing it apart.

also, just a thought that hit me, how do you incorporate a door popper(s) into one of these systems (with the remotes). i'm keeping my door handles, but if i can unlock my doors with a remote, why not be able to open my doors with a remote...

(indeed, i am just that lazy)

Im partial to Clifford, but Ive herd good things about Viper. I think Most of the higher end alarms will be able to acomodate door poppers. You are gonna have to do some research wether you like it or not.

I have the Viper Pager alarm, with remote start, I love getting into a cold car at the end of a HOT AS HELL day, and security wise, I feel very safe, cost wise "not cheap" ease of install they put it in, so they were liable for mistakes, total cost was aprox 950.00$

Clifford and Viper are the SAME....both DEI products and actually use the same "brain" in their alarm systems....think of it as the difference between the Grand AM and the Alero...just a couple MINOR differences usually dealing w/ add-ons

yea i have the viper 791xv and i love it.. i bought it and had it installed for 350.. i am almost positive that you can incorporate door poppers into the system.. just ask the shop you're going to.. they'll be able to tell you all about it.

I've got a Code Alarm CA-645 system, $400 installed at Circuit city. 2 way pager / remote start / the works. Lifetime warantee, pretty badass setup.
