i've owned a 2002 alero 2.2 ecotec for a few months now. 82k miles right now and there's been no troubles with it except for the ignition recall...my engine turned off in the middle of left-hand turn lane haha...
anyways, i'll probably begin to mod it...yea i know it's a four cylinder but it runs awesome. my first mod is most likely going to be new headers or a cold air intake, is that a good place to start?
Welcome!
It is a fine place to start. Nobody is going to say anything to you about modding a 4 cyl alero. One of the fastest alero's on the site is a 2.4l ld9. The ecotec has the most aftermarket support for any motor in the car. Just do lots of research and planning before you built as it will save you money.
Welcome! and yes, good place to start. Ecotec for the win!

Welcome to the site, I have a 2.4 car and a 3.4 this site has been very useful for me and I hope you enjoy it here! Best of luck with your car and happy modding
