Bass Button

I want to put a "bass button" in my car and was wondering what exactly was the best way to go around doing this? Basically i'm just inserting a switch between the head unit and the amp n the turn on lead right? If not please correct me. Plus does anyone have any suggestions on which sitches to look into, a specific switch, and/or any install related pictures? Thanks in advance!

so.. all you want to do is have a remote button to turn on your amp, which powers your subwoofers?

all you need is a switch with 12V power, running out to your REM input on your amp.

12v Rocker switches

Like they said!!

Cheap, easy to install and easy to hide.

I did this for my amps, just put the switches under the radio.

Just skip to 2:00 to see the switches.

PS The pioneer sub boxes are going to be remade into a new fiberglass box, so don't be to harsh. I just don't have the money to add any more to the radio.

kinda gay, you will kill your battery if you forget it and leave it on, you should just get a head unit that you can shut the subs off through that.

i just use the rocker switches from oznium. I have the wire coming from a switched power source(only comes on when the key is in the on/started position). then I ran it to the amp..

This is true to an extent.

If the power is always hot at least. If your using the remote from the radio its impossible.

Now once you have more than 2-3 items on your remote wire you need to use a relay. Remotes only provide around 250-300 mA of power.

I've done that before.. left it on that is.

Killed the battery, and somehow smoked the 40amp fuse in the amp's wire... :/
