If you are looking to increase sh!tty gas milage and clean up your intakes, this is what I've found works.
Once a year I use one bottle of Chevron Techron + 40% of a bottle of Redline Fuel System Cleaner (each cost about $7). I change the fuel filter when I do this as well. From then on, add 10% of the bottle of Redline with every oil change (for ease of remembering when to use it).
I did this on my Alero last spring and my gas milage went from 18 mpg to 22mpg (mix of city and highway). I don't remember what straight highway was before I did this but after the inital dose I was getting over 30mpg highway. About 10 months after the fact I was still getting the same. Now almost 1 year later (plus winter time) I am still getting 22mpg city/highway mix.
Come april or may I will start the whole treatment over again.
