running too cool?

ever since i flushed my coolant, my car seems like its running cooler than it should be.

this is a pic of the temp guage, driving on the highway at 70mph (car fully warmed up, was driving for about 15 minutes on the highway before i took this)

before the coolant flush it was usually just a hair under the halfway mark, which i thought was normal.

that's my favorite spot for my temp to be

but i usually sit just a hair under or right on the half mark (turbo tends to be pretty hot)

your gauge overlay is crooked or you're running a cooler thermostat and your car has excellent thermal efficiency.

half is right around 198-203.

mine's a hair under half (190-195) most of the time, unless it's really hot out and i've driven it for a long time or hard, at which point it will maintain half or ever so slightly above. my radiator is inefficient, is behind another heat releaser (intercooler), and my turbo/manifold/downpipe is extremely close to the water pump outlet from the heater core lines.

Na the T-stat is fine, it was just replaced in April 2010.

That's what it runs at. Hmmm I'll have to pay closer attention to it tonight on the way home from work, but it usually runs between 1/4 and 1/2 unless it's really hot out and I'm driving hard
