SOHC Quad...single cam performance!
Yeah right
maybe for good gas mileage.
Well I finally got my Quad together. Feels dam good. With some help from my best friend I got it done in no time
086 decked head installed with stainless steel valves & H.O. valve springs
H.O. Camshafts w/ pulley
and of coarse built internals with other goodies.

powder coating was $120...but thats from last when I first rebuilt the motor. I had a leaking valve after an issue and now I had to rebuild it again.
So I swapped cams and heads thus I had to powder coat the new cam carriers. Another $80 just for the cam carriers...price had increased since then due to the economy.
Oh and I have a 24, my boy has a 40

Your buddy has good taste in booze.
Engine looks nice, but I think it would look better in the car.

It worked perfect last time.....I was driving it for over 4 months. Then I got tired of seeing the PCV hose connected to a small breather filter.
I hooked it up after the t-body instead of before and thats when it all went wrong. I should have knew better.

5 lbs. of boost with the high compression from the 086 would be PERFECT!

5 lbs of boost from what?
Screw that, run a 3076R and crank the boost controller. Yeah it's a high compression head, but with low compression pistons. Just spray a little meth if you need to
