mounting question
so i'm going to remount my amp(s) in my trunk so it looks a little neater(and easier to put two amps).
now i want to build something that sits about my sub box that my amps mount to. something that sort of slides out when i want it to(to pull the subs out), but locks in so it wont move during travel.
i heard that mounting amps to sub boxes will destroy amps though. from all the shaking. will mounting it to something about the subs like that destroy it, or is this all crazy talk
or i'd be glad to hear any other suggestions for ideas. other than mounting it to the back seat. i currently have my sub amp mounted to the side of the trunk on the driver side. but i can't do that on the passenger side due to the gas filler tube

no one knows if mounting amps to close to subs will wreck them?

You're fine. Unless you are running an immense amount of power and the box would actually be shaking the ish out of it, just buy some rubber spacers and put them between the feet of the amplifier and the box. Potential problem solved.
Or... Get another piece of mdf and carpet it. Mount the amplifier to it and lean it back against the box. Just put a bracket or something to get the new mdf attached to the box so it doesn't flip over or whatever. No biggie man.

This is one of the topics I must of missed, sorry.
The reason behind not mounting to the box is two fold.
1) It makes it way to easy for a thief to take
2) Boxes flex. That flexing will destroy amps over time. Early failures, etc.
All depends on how its setup and how you want it set up. Take some pictures.
