Carbon Fiber Vinyl

I took this idea from the_weber and kind of ran with it a bit. I searched ebay and found 3D Flexible Black Carbon Fiber Vinyl Sheet. What I've researched is that its really simple to install and its made with air egress technology that makes it a bubble free installation. I have a silver 4 door alero and wonder what your opinions are about using it maybe on my hood, mirrors, ect.
Thanks

It looks good in small accents such as the pillars and door handles. I did the mirrors (was hard as hell to get it right) and they looked ok but they just looked like black plastic though from anything more than 15 feet. I want it on my hood but not sure yet. Its either gonna look like ass or look great.

because it is real carbon fiber and not just a stick on carbon fiber that will look like crap.

well it is not real carbon fiber. i rather spend the money and get a real carbon fiber hood custom made. also a real carbon fiber hood is lighter than a stock hood with stick on carbon fiber.

For us guys on a budget spending $100 for a CF hood is much more economical. Especially when the only other benefit in a real CF hood is dropping maybe 20 pounds.

Weber....a CF hood is not $400.....LOL.....mine was like $700. I agree with the other guys, i would rather have a real one than a stupid sticker on the hood. Stick to doing smaller things like the pillars and handles....NOT the hood. Damn ricer :P

i totally agree that a REAL C/F hood is a lot better than stick on fake crap. I agree stay with the small stuff. Also a carbon fiber hood made for an alero is going to have to be custom since they do not make them anymore or the alero. I hate fake crap. My thing is spend money on the engine and not wasting money on fake stick on crap. a custom C/F hood is going to be 700 bucks or more.

Is there really a point in putting a real carbon fiber hood on a daily ride? If you plan on taking your car to the track, then I see a purpose of reducing the hood weight, lightweight rims etc. But if it's you daily ride, I guess the reason why Weber and SPC want it, is pure looks. I would reather spend $700 for a set of rims and rubber and go with stick on CF. Now if we are talking perfomance and track times, then it is a different story.
